Summary: Terrific and easy
Comment: Terrific camcorder - pocketable, easy to use, and does exactly what it says it does. Just push a button and film. Flip open the USB connector (built in) and plug into your computer. Download. Easy, simple, and fool proof.

Not good for those looking for more advance camcorder features, but excellent for short film clips (up to one hour on this model) and day to day video. Direct uploads to YouTube and AOL video.

Recommended.

Summary: Great for kids
Comment: I gave this to my 9 year old daughter for her birthday. Within 5 minutes she was making her own videos. It was a big hit at her sleepover. The kids passed it around while they danced and then we plugged it in to the tv and they could watch themselves. Very easy to use. However, we just went out and got rechargeable batteries. It uses them up pretty fast and you don't have much warning when the power is low. I'm going to make sure I leave a extra set in the carry bag. What I love about this most is that with its easy use, I'll have those everyday video snapshots I know will be a treasure in years to come.

Summary: sweet and simple
Comment: This little gem is great. It's simple to use, light to carry around, and the quality, while not DVD-level, is absolutely fine for our purposes. Yes, the USB connector is weird, but I have a USB hub (cheap) that I use to plug the videocamera into: problem solved.

It's possible if you have a really great video function on your digital camera that this would not worth the extra expense. But ours is the pits, and we couldn't be more pleased with the ease of use (no complaints about the software, either!) and the video quality.

I'm soooo glad to be done with the mini-DV format. Turns out our use of the videocamera (capturing crazy stuff our kids are doing, mostly) is really only in short increments, and I don't have the time to burn everything to a DVD anyway. I take a few short videos, do some minor editing, and then post them online to share with family and friends. Piece of cake.

Summary: Great for the money, impressive!
Comment: Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2I64OI4LNHIF2 I had just opened the camera probably one minute prior to starting recording all of these short clips of Christmas decorations that I put together with Windows Movie Maker. I'm using rechargeable Duracell batteries that I already had prepared for use and the camera seems to be lasting with them, which is great. It runs on two AA batteries and as I charge four at a time, it should be really nice to always have an extra pair on hand. The quality is awesome for the price of this camera, everyone in my family was surprised and my brother is buying one soon! Haven't tried YouTube yet.

*Note - I believe the only part of the video where the zoom is used is when I zoom in on the VW Beetle ornament. The quality is great, sorry for the short choppy clip.

Summary: So easy to use, so convenient to carry
Comment: I recently bought this for my boyfriend and although it's only been a short time, he couldn't be happier.
I had bought him a Canon camcorder about 3 years ago and little by little he hasn't been using it that much due to the hassle of toting it around. Now with the Flip, I can hold it in my pocketbook for him because it's so lightweight. It's portable, it's affordable, the quality is great and for non-gadget people like us, it's so easy to use.
I love it so much, I'm planning on buying one for myself.
