Summary: Flip Video is a dream come true for a ludite!
Comment: I had this little Flip UltraHD Camcorder out of the box and working in under 3 minutes. I was ecstatic! I didn't need to read the instructions, it was that user friendly. Flip makes it such a breeze to do this. It literally turns on and is ready to use in just 2 SECONDS! Reviewing is just as fast and so is the connection to the computer. I love being able to have things happen in 2 seconds. Downloading speeds are very acceptible. The size and weight is fantastic since it fits in my small purse or back pocket of my jeans. I bring it along with me the way I do my cellphone, it's that valuable for documenting life. Another impressive feature is the camcorder's ability to film in low light levels. Results have been incredible for me. Tripoding it is also a cinch.

I use this camcorder every day, documenting my special needs child as she goes through various tasks with speech, physical and occupational therapists, vision and home school teachers, for my website [...] which shows parents of special needs children what they can do with their child to help them develop. Video is everything in this scenario! This means that I have to be able to quickly turn on the camcorder, start filming immediately and have ease of downloading to my computer so I can upload to my site. It is very easy to review video and make decisions on the fly about re-filming a lesson.

Special Note: We purchased a Flip UltraHD (9/20/9) that had some weird sound issues after a day of filming. We tried to figure out the problem and ultimately wrote in to Amazon Cust Serv and explained the issue. This was at midnight. By 6AM they wrote back and stated that a 2nd camcorder was already being shipped to us with instructions for mailing back the first one. WOW! We were so impressed and this 2nd camera has operated flawlessly. What a super deal! Thanks Flip! --and thanks Amazon!

Summary: Excellent buy
Comment: I use with a Mac. Very simple to use, no frills such as image stabilization, low or back light, but excellent image quality, simple intuitive controls, and results that look good on a 55" HD screen.

Summary: Great Little Camcorder for the Price
Comment: I bought this camcorder in September and brought it to Las Vegas on vacation. This camcorder did everything. It took amazing footage of the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park. The colors were absolutely breathtaking. I couldn't get over the quality of the footage. The real test came when I took pictures inside the aquarium. Unbelievable clarity. The camcorder is a snap to use. You can review your footage and edit the parts you want to edit. Battery life is good, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours and you can use rechargeable batteries, they work well too.

The one thing I really want to talk about is when I originally bought the camcorder and tried to charge it the charging mechanism was faulty and it would not charge correctly. I immediately contacted the customer service by email. I got a response within hours. By the end of the day they emailed me a return number and address where to return the camcorder. Within two weeks I had received a new camcorder from them. I was totally impressed with their customer service and I will say that anyone looking to buy this product can do so with complete confidence that if anything is wrong when you get the camera the company will back you up.

Summary: I love my Flip UltraHD!
Comment: I bought the Flip UltraHD because when I upgraded to a digital SLR camera, I lost my ability to record videos on the camera. With a deployed husband, I wanted the ability to take short, family videos to send to him on a regular basis but I didn't need a video camera that would cost hundreds of dollars.

With two little kids that never sit still, 120 minutes is more than enough record time. I never usually take video that is longer than 5-10 minutes and pull them off the camera and save them fairly often. But still, I don't think I have ever filled the camera more than half full at a time. The picture is very clear and you can definitely see the HD quality of the camera.

The software preloaded on the camera is very easy to use and saving videos to the computer is also very simple. I use iMovie and iDVD to make my home movies and have never had an issues with compatibility or anything similar.

Overall, I love this little camera. It is extremely portable and is good for what I use it for.

Comment: This camera is absouletly the BEST ever. You can carry it anywhere - make snapshots and put the movies to music....wish I had it years ago - go nowhere without it....LOVE IT!!!!
